CREATE HEALTHY WELLNESS CENTER

Nestled along Fredericksburg’s S. State Highway 16, the Create Healthy Wellness Center expansion redefines what a community wellness facility can be—transformative, inviting, and deeply rooted in place. The project builds upon the legacy of an existing 31,330-square-foot center, introducing a vision that merges physical health with architectural well-being.

The design balances renovation and new construction, expanding the facility with a 49,471-square-foot, three-story addition while thoughtfully renewing approximately 3,600 square feet of existing space. Conceived as a two-phase construction, the project ensures the Wellness Center remains active and accessible throughout, preserving its essential role in the daily life of the community.

Inside, light-filled spaces are organized around movement and connection. The program features a new natatorium, modernized restrooms and dressing areas, a multi-purpose sports court, flexible exercise studios, and an indoor jogging and walking track that threads these elements together. Each component is designed to foster inclusivity, accessibility, and the seamless integration of fitness, recreation, and social engagement.

Beyond the walls, the design extends into the landscape. Enhanced plantings along S. State Highway 16 and W. Windcrest Street create a renewed civic presence and a more welcoming entry experience, softening the urban edge while reflecting the natural character of the Texas Hill Country.

As a nonprofit organization deeply embedded in Fredericksburg’s social fabric, Create Healthy has long championed wellness as a shared community value. This expansion embodies that mission—transforming the facility into a beacon of health, connection, and renewal for generations to come.
